Android – See More Media https://www.seemoremedia.com Technology, Internet, and Investment Mon, 15 Sep 2014 08:31:26 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.8.1 IFA 2014 https://www.seemoremedia.com/ifa-2014 Mon, 22 Sep 2014 08:29:57 +0000 http://www.seemoremedia.com/?p=463 tech-moto-360The Moto 360 Smartwatch from Motorola is attractive, comfortable to wear and just as powerful as other such watches on the market. Featuring a pedometer, heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor and wireless charging, this watch actually looks like a watch due to its round face and being constructed from glass and stainless steel – very watch-like features. And because it is light, and has a leather strap, it also feels like one.

One can choose from different color watchbands too: black, dark gray or light gray.

Currently there are some issues with the Moto 360 (such as battery power, the black slice at the bottom that looks a bit weird, and the round screen that sometimes causes text to get cut off). But even with these issues, it still comes up trumps against its rivals.

Get creative with your iPhone, iPad (or Android device) with the iCrayon Touch Stylus. This hi-tech device also safeguards against dirty fingerprints impacting on the screen device, simultaneously acting as the perfect touch-typing tool.  One can even use the tool when their fingers are clad in gloves!  And for wannabe Van Gogh’s who love to draw, the iCrayon is both child-friendly and hi-tech, making it the perfect tool for the whole family.

For those adults who miss their childhood creative years, the iCrayon is the perfect solution.  In its design it is old-school design, but in its technology, it is extremely modern. For creating apps and games and letting your kids draw a house, stick-man and more, it can do it all.  it is also a great business tool; next time you need to do a presentation, use it for an added boost. It certainly will keep the audience awake when they see you “drawing” with a “crayon”!

RIM Reveals Newest Upgraded BlackBerry https://www.seemoremedia.com/rim-reveals-newest-upgraded-blackberry Mon, 02 May 2011 07:18:26 +0000 http://www.seemoremedia.com/?p=203 Research In Motion, also known as RIM, has revealed its newest BlackBerry Bold smartphone. The upgraded software and layout is part of RIM’s effort to reestablish its presence in the smartphone market. According to the company, the new phone will be able to manage corporate and government communications from Apple devices, as well as Google Android software.

RIM plans to use the Blackberry’s boosted security features as a selling point. The phone also allows companies to control employee access to corporate data while on-the-go. These aspects of the phone have made the BlackBerry a very prominent work phone. Recently, however, many corporate figures have branched out, and now prefer Apple or Android devices.

RIM’s co-chief executive Jim Balsille explained to analysts that “device diversity is a reality.”

The newest phone, which will be released in stores this summer, is the thinnest, most powerful touchscreen phone the company has developed so far. It will support the two most popular networks, GSM and CDM.

Analysts believe the company will need to develop more than one new product in order to stay above the radar.

“It’s not so much any individual product that’s going to change investor’s perception of the stock. It’s going to take an upgrade of the entire product portfolio with the operating system upgrades,” said Alkesh Shah, analyst at Evercore Partners.

RIM Acquires tinyHippos, Inc. https://www.seemoremedia.com/rim-acquires-tinyhippos-inc Mon, 28 Mar 2011 07:30:27 +0000 http://www.seemoremedia.com/?p=190 Research in Motion, the maker of the BlackBerry, has recently announced that it has bought tinyHippos Inc. The Ontario-based startup company invented Ripple, a mobile app development and testing program.

Tyler Lessard, vice president of global alliances and developer relations for RIM said the company was acquired because of their “extensive experience in web and mobile widget/web development.”

The transaction comes just before RIM releases its Playbook tablet in April. The tablet market is a difficult one to enter, with Apple’s iPad currently dominating sales, and with devices running on the Android platform following close behind.

The BlackBerry maker has said that their new tablet will support Android apps. It will have the potential to include more than 150,000 apps, according to RIM.
